A Starbucks in Portland has decided to branch into selling beer in an attempt to beef up its afternoon patronage. They already have a few branches that offer alcohol in their home town of Seattle, but this appears to be their first offering out of Washington state. While Starbucks may not be your first choice in establishments to indulge you thirst for a frosty beverage, this could be good news to folks with avid coffee drinkers as friends. When you friend decides to go for a coffee, you can gladly tag along and enjoy a nice Rouge, Widmer, or Deschutes (breweries all founded in Oregon). Sadly, there is no offering like this for those of us not located in the upper northwest of the US.
