Enclose grains in bag, steep at 150°F to 155°F for 1 hour. Remove grains, and rinse, adding liquid. Add hops, boil for 50 minutes. Add molasses, honey, DME and dissolve. Add Irish Moss, and boil 10 more minutes. Cool. Pour previously boiled/refrigerated water into fermenter, and add the cooled wort. When temperature is between 65°F and 75°F, pitch yeast. At bottling time, with priming sugar, add spruce extract concentrate. (Shake the extract bottle well first.) Brewed: Sept. 5, 2017 Siphoned: Sept. 13, 2017 56.32 g sugar for about 2 volumes in 13 liters Lyle's black treacle has 64g sugar / 100g.
