brew day 6/7 nailed mash temp of 156 used cardamom pods, smoked them in sage on the stovetop. used half of the 1.5 grams since they're potent planned on tarragon going in when the wort chilled to 180, left for 3 minutes then chilled again. ended up putting it in at 150 because it chilled so fast, literally turned it and boom 150 bakerd orange extract, 1/8 tsp..ended up using about half of 1/8 tsp decided to do a sixty minute boil because wort was already dark, didn't want it darker and didn't anymore abv hops I received had less aa than expected 2.4 to 4.5. so I added them at 23 min og 1.022 On 6/14 gravity is 1.007-1.008 6/21 it has been at 65 degrees for a week, gravity 1.007 moved to lagering on 6/23, was at 35-37 degrees bottled 7/5 with 0.92 oz sugar in 2 cups water. bottled 17 twelve ounce bottles |
