Hit OG just about on mark...1.071. This is the second batch using my new Miller roller grain mill. Followed mash and sparge exact. After a year or so of poor efficiency, this new setup may be helping not only efficiency, but the beer itself. Even with 3 lb oatmeal and 3 lb wheat, so sparge issues at all. The brown ale that was the first test is outstanding. Next test will be an IPA.
Wheat was added to last Goldie Brown as well as this Stout. Goldie Brown had nice silky smooth body that is likely a wheat influence. This along with oatmeal should really add to the body and head retention.
